Due to Covid-19 the two schools we support have had to close, and all 765 kids have been sent home. The lockdown has resulted in a lack of work, resulting in families struggling with the basics.

Our team on the ground are working with our suppliers to put together food packages of rice and beans and get them to these children’s households. One food package consists of 5kg rice and 5kg beans and will feed a family for an entire week… it costs just £10.

We are raising money for these food packages via the Virgin Money Giving 2.6 Challenge by getting as many people as we can to walk 2.6miles a day for 10 days. The aim is to try and get 26 people to join in and get us all walking together. 2.6miles is doable and we all need an hour out of the house right now!
